Mindset Strategies To Keep You Thinking Positively | She IS Successful

Chasing your dreams can be both exhilarating and terrifying. Am I right or am I right?!  Some days I wake up super energetic and ready to begin my day. Come bedtime, however, I am overwhelmed and frustrated. Other days it is the opposite. So many things happen each day and the range of emotions I feel is off the charts. (This is where having powerful mindset strategies can help, but more on that in a bit.)

Finding success and balance in the many “roles” I fill sometimes feels impossible. I mean, on one hand I’m a mom who wants to make the best life for my kids, I’m a wife who craves connection with her husband, I’m a business owner who wants to help people live their best life, I’m a team member who wants to help my clients achieve massive success, and more.

Unfortunately, there is no secret formula or handbook that gets us on the fast track to success. Most of the time its just lots of hard work, trial and error, and maybe a little sprinkle of luck here and there that gets us on a successful path.

I actually think the key to success is creating and maintaining a positive attitude. Implementing mindset strategies to keep you focused on the positive is the best way to do this. You might be thinking – having a positive mindset (especially) when shit hits the fan is easier said than done. But trust me, a positive mindset is a total game-changer.

I’ve been lucky enough to have some people (personal & clients) in my life who have the super power of being positive…like all the time. I’ve picked up a few mindset hacks from listening in, sharing my struggles, and learning from their teachings. Here are my top 5 strategies that I want to share with you to help you create and sustain your own positive mindset…

1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people.

The influence we allow people have over our own personal energy is astounding. I had a friend once who was the poster child for “Negative Nancy.” It didn’t matter how positive or good I was feeling when she came around because her low vibe energy drained all the light out of me.

Moods and attitudes are so easily spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates. When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away.

2. Create a mantra or an affirmation to help you have a positive mindset.

Repeating positive affirmations has completely changed the way I speak to myself. It’s helped me get through tough times like you wouldn’t believe. One of my favorite ways to declare my affirmations is to play some upbeat music and dance while I say my affirmations out loud.

“I am building a powerful and profitable business” is one of my favorite affirmations. To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints. These can then be quickly be tweaked and turned into really powerful affirmations.

For example, if you write that you’re always feeling disorganized then your affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control.” I invite you to create and repeat your affirmations several times a day so you can truly feel the power of positive thinking.

3. Capture your negative thoughts.

We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, consistently negative thoughts and emotions can knock us off track. Upgrading those thoughts into positive and empowering ones takes practice and persistence. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, I invite you to find a way to reverse it into a positive affirmation. Affirmations are such a great way to turn the negative into the positive. You can also find quick pick me ups to boost your moods like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise (ahem…dance party anyone?).

4. Set goals and intentions and then be willing to let it go.

The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most. However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, problems in our relationships, send mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe. Set your goals and intentions and then let them go. A certain amount of faith in yourself and in the power of attraction is necessary. Give it a try.

5. Attitude of Gratitude.

Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive mindset tool for success. When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily. That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything. Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles. Here’s a fun article with some great ideas for practicing gratitude.

I know success is within your reach. Just as I know it’s within mine. With the right attitude truly amazing things can be accomplished. One of my goals for 2018 is to work on shifting my belief system to a more positive place and I think embracing these five powerful mindset success strategies will help you build a better business and live a happier, more satisfying life.

I hope these strategies work as well for you as they have for me.

Lots of love,
